In a stunning development (can you feel the sarcasm?), MPs involved in Canada’s Liberal-NDP coalition have gone on record speaking about dissent and mistrust within the ranks. Apparently the Liberal party does not trust the NDP membership. Now that Parliament has been suspended and the government cannot be toppled until January, these power-hungry children don’t want to play together anymore.
Hopefully the Canadian people will recognize these games as the wasteful partisanship they are and ignore references to it by politicians in the next election. Sadly, no party is innocent in this charade – at a time when leadership needs to overcome before personal interests, the politicians responsible for running the country have failed miserably.
Although 143 Conservatives make up the government party, the Government consists of 308 members, all of whom are responsible for the success of the nation. It’s time to put ideologies aside and treat these people like the stewards they are.
