According to the New York Times, President-elect Obama’s dedication to his Blackberry may be worth up to $50 million for the Canadian firm Research In Motion. Not bad – you can’t buy the kind of publicity that results from the most loved man in the world pimping your gear.
The new president is famous for his use of the Internet in connecting to voters, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that he would consider a Blackberry to be an essential lifeline. We can’t blame him for loving such a great device, even if it is a Canadian product.
The newest revelation is Obama’s admittance of his enjoyment of the Wii his daughters got for Christmas. Gasp – another non-American product?
Obama continues to project an air that he is just like the rest of us. Maybe it wasn’t just campaign rhetoric!
